Chihiro Ogino is the protagonist of Studio Ghibli's animated film, Spirited Away (released in ). She is a young girl of ten years old who is initially depicted as sullen and reluctant during her family's move to a new town.

Her character arc revolves around her accidental entrance into a spirit world and her subsequent quest to save her parents, who are transformed into pigs after eating food meant for the spirits. To survive, Chihiro takes on the name Sen and works in Yubaba's bathhouse.

Throughout the film, Chihiro, as Sen, displays remarkable growth in courage, responsibility, and compassion. She overcomes numerous challenges and forms strong bonds with various spirits, including Haku, demonstrating resilience and ultimately proving her capacity for selflessness.
